WHERE TO USE

The product has been designed to bond to most building materials including Concrete, Screeds, Rendering, Anhydrite Screeds, Lightweight & Concrete Blocks, Plaster, Timber, Fibreboard, Brickwork & Steel.

The Membrane cures rapidly to form a tough, elastomeric & flexible film forming an impermeable barrier where there is a risk of water penetration.

Typical installations include Wet Rooms, Shower & Steam Rooms,
Swimming Pools, Food Processing Areas, Balconies, Plant Rooms & Roof Decks.

Crosscote Membrane is not designed to be an exposed traffic surface and must be protected with a wear resistant finish such as Crosscote Multi-Purpose Coating or Ceramic Tiles etc.

SAFETY & HYGIENE

Crosscote Membrane is a water based latex emulsion and is not considered harmful in use or to the environment.

In all cases spillages or skin contamination should be cleared as soon as possible by dry wiping the affected area and then thoroughly washing with soap and water.
Further safety information may be obtained from Material Safety Data Sheet Ref: MSDS – 02C

All surfaces must be clean, sound and free of standing surface water.
Porous concrete or masonry surfaces may be pre-damped prior to applying the membrane.

APPLICATION
Conditions

The membrane should not be applied in wet conditions or where such conditions are likely to occur before the membrane has dried or where the air or background temperature is likely to fall below 7°C.

Procedure:

Crosscote Membrane may be applied by brush, roller, notched trowel or airless spray. Apply the membrane in 2 coats to the specified thickness, applying the second coat at right angles to the first coat wherever possible.
